Castels on the hills - Self-drive Tour in Alentejo

Self-drive

Morning

This one-day program will be in self-drive, a “new way” of ensuring the security and safety of our guests. We will help you to explore unique paths in your own vehicle (or in one that we can help you to hire), without the physical presence of any guide. You can make stops at your own pace and take advantage of our support, always available at the distance of your phone.

Your day will start in Redondo, a charming little village where you can stop to enjoy the unique views from the top of its castle. Take a moment to explore the narrow streets of the village before you head back to your vehicle to continue your journey. Your trip will follow then to Vila Viçosa. Enjoy the beautiful and relaxing Alentejo plains and lose sight along the roads that always lead to the horizon.

Take the opportunity to pass through the magnificent medieval castle of Alandroal, with its imponent high walls, just before arriving in Vila Viçosa, also known as Princesa do Alentejo. The village is a landmark in the history of Portugal and deserves a stop to explore its churches and the Ducal Palace.
